Vehicle cabinetry, built around your day
Made-to-measure cupboards, drawers and storage units for vans and other vehicles. From an individual cabinet to a coordinated layout, we design the joinery around the space available and what you need to carry.

Make the space work harder
Work vans
Drawers for smaller items, cupboards for equipment and fitted storage around wheel arches. Tell us what you carry and which items need to be reached first.
Leisure vehicles
Bespoke furniture units for an agreed interior layout, with practical access and a finish that suits the space. We can discuss individual units or cabinetry for a wider conversion.
Special-purpose units
Storage for mobile workspaces, display equipment or other specialist uses. Share your brief and dimensions; we will establish what the joinery needs to do.
Your cabinetry specification
Layout & materials
Dimensions: made to the agreed vehicle measurements, allowing for doors, wheel arches and access.
Carcass: suitable plywood or other board construction, selected for the intended use and weight requirements.
Fronts: timber, plywood, painted or other suitable finishes discussed at design stage.
Details: worktops, dividers, shelves, eased edges and cut-outs specified to suit the brief.
Hardware & installation
Storage: drawer sizes, shelf positions and compartments designed around the contents.
Retention: suitable catches and drawer hardware specified for use in a moving vehicle.
Fixings: mounting positions and responsibility for installation agreed before manufacture.
Weight: cabinet weight, intended loads and the vehicle’s available payload considered together.
The fitting details matter as much as the furniture
Vehicle cabinetry needs a clear plan for attachment and load restraint. We agree the mounting approach with you or your installer and identify what information is required from the vehicle manufacturer. Access to essential equipment and emergency exits must be maintained.
Our quotation defines the cabinetry scope. Seating and seat-belt mountings, gas, electrical work and a complete vehicle conversion are not included unless explicitly agreed with appropriately qualified specialists. No crash-test or whole-vehicle certification is implied by a cabinet design.
From your first sketch to the finished joinery
01 · Share the space
Send photographs, approximate dimensions and your postcode, together with the vehicle make, model, year and intended use.
02 · Agree the details
We work through the layout, materials, finish and hardware, then set out the scope and price in a written quotation. Final dimensions and technical details are confirmed before manufacture.
03 · Make and supply
Your joinery is made to the agreed design. Supply-only orders can be delivered wherever required, with delivery priced for the destination. Ask us about fitting; availability depends on location and scope.
For payment stages, measuring visits and delivery arrangements, see ordering and payment.
Questions about vehicle cabinetry
Can I order supply-only units?
Yes. We can supply cabinetry to the agreed dimensions for your installer. Collection or delivery can be arranged, with delivery priced for the destination. Confirm the measurements, clearances and fixing plan before manufacture.
Do I need a finished drawing?
No. Start with photographs, the vehicle details, approximate dimensions and a list of what you want to store. A simple sketch is useful. We can then develop the joinery layout and confirm the details required for production.
Can you make just one cupboard or drawer unit?
Yes. Enquiries for individual pieces are welcome, including a replacement unit or a cabinet designed around a specific item of equipment.
Joinery made around your requirements
JM Joinery has been working from Herefordshire since 2000. We combine workshop craftsmanship with drawing and CNC capability to turn a practical brief into carefully made joinery.
A clear specification before we make it
Your quotation confirms what is included: materials, finish, hardware, delivery and any agreed fitting. Our two-year guarantee and care terms explain the cover and ongoing maintenance responsibilities.
Tell us what your vehicle needs to carry
Send the make, model and year, photographs of the load area, approximate dimensions and a short description of how you use it.
