A workshop built on craftsmanship.

JM Joinery has been making bespoke joinery in Herefordshire since 2000. From our workshop in Callow, we work with homeowners, architects, builders and the trade.

A single table, replacement windows or the joinery for a whole building: every enquiry starts with what you need.

Made here, with care.

We manufacture purpose-made timber windows, doors, staircases, kitchens and furniture in our own workshop. Traditional joinery skills sit alongside CNC machining and software-based design.

We also supply selected branded window and door systems. Their manufacturer and specification are identified in your quotation.

Careful design. Clearer decisions.

Professional design and manufacturing software supports the work we do by hand. We use the tools suited to each job to develop the details, explain the design and prepare work for manufacture.

See the design

SketchUp helps us explore a design in 3D. progeCAD supports detailed CAD drawings, including the window and door sections used in our workshop.

Plan the joinery

Joinerysoft supports our joinery planning, while PolyBoard helps develop cabinet and furniture designs. Dimensions, layouts and component details can be worked through before making starts.

Prepare for machining

TpaCAD and Vectric support CNC programming and toolpath preparation. The digital work sits alongside material selection, skilled assembly and finishing in the workshop.

Have a sketch or architect’s drawing already? Send a PDF or image with your enquiry. For CAD files, tell us the format so we can agree how to share them.

From your first idea to the finished piece.

Six steps from the first conversation to caring for the finished joinery.

01 — Tell us what matters

Describe the piece or space, how it will be used and the look you have in mind. Send photographs, approximate sizes or drawings if available, together with your location and preferred timing.

02 — Define the scope

We discuss the material, finish, quantity and practical requirements. For supply-only work, we agree who provides final measurements and who will fit the joinery. Installation is discussed separately around the location and scope.

03 — Review the quotation

The quotation sets out the proposed work and specification. Use this stage to clarify what is included, any site work or transport, and the timing for your order. Ask us to explain anything you would like to understand in more detail.

04 — Approve before manufacture

Final manufacturing dimensions and design details need to be agreed before production. Drawings and, where appropriate, stair visuals help explain the design. Tell us about changes before approving the work.

05 — Make & arrange supply

Your approved specification guides the workshop work. Collection, delivery or any agreed fitting is coordinated for the order, including the access and handling arrangements that need to be considered.

06 — Care for the joinery

Ask about the finish, cleaning and maintenance for the product you choose. Keep the specification and any applicable certification with your order information, and contact the workshop if you need advice.
