The details, clearly explained.
Straightforward guides to timber, glazing, finishes and hardware, to help you choose the details for your joinery.

Details worth deciding early.
Use these guides to prepare your brief, compare materials and understand the practical decisions.
A useful brief, without the jargon.
You can start with a short description. Add these details when you have them; they help us work towards a clear quotation.
The piece and the setting
What would you like made, and where will it go? Include photographs of the surrounding room or elevation as well as close-ups. Mention anything that needs to be matched, kept or worked around.
Sizes, quantities and use
Approximate dimensions and a quantity are useful at the enquiry stage. Explain how the piece will be used and any access, storage or opening requirements. Final manufacturing dimensions are agreed later.
The look and the finish
Share examples of proportions, panel details, glazing and hardware you like. Tell us whether you prefer painted or natural timber, and ask about the maintenance of the proposed finish.
Supply, fitting and timing
Give the delivery location and your preferred programme. Say who will measure and install, or ask about fitting. Collection, transport and any site work need to be agreed for your order.
