Timber entrance doors.

An entrance door sets the proportions of the whole doorway. We make timber doors, frames, sidelights and fanlights to suit your opening and the character of your home.

Panelled, boarded or glazed

Choose a traditional panel layout, a simpler boarded design or a glazed entrance. Rails, mouldings and glazing bars can be developed from existing joinery or your references.

Construction and weathering

Timber sections, joints, seals and thresholds are specified for the door size and exposure. We consider the surrounding floor and step details at the same time.

Glazing and security

Glass, hinges, locks and handles form a coordinated specification. Safety glazing and additional security requirements are discussed for the individual opening.

A finish that suits the house

Accoya, suitable hardwoods and softwoods provide different choices for painted and natural finishes. We explain the finishing and maintenance requirements before you decide.

Panels, glazing and ironmongery

A panelled leaf, divided glazing and coordinated hardware give this entrance a clear, balanced composition. The arched example shows how the door and surrounding glazing can follow an individual opening.

Plan your entrance

Tell us what needs to change: more daylight, greater privacy, a different opening or details to match. A photograph of the complete entrance helps us discuss the door, frame and fittings together.

Bring a photograph, sketch or reference you like. One entrance door is as welcome as a complete joinery package.
