Accoya is timber modified through acetylation to improve durability and dimensional stability. We can specify it for suitable windows, doors and other exterior joinery.

50 years
Accoya publishes a 50-year above-ground material warranty, subject to its terms. This is separate from cover for the finished joinery, glass, fittings and coatings.
77–90 years
A Heriot-Watt University assessment estimated this service-life range for Accoya window frames under the exposure and maintenance conditions studied. It is an estimate, not a 90-year product guarantee.
Class 1
Accoya reports the highest timber durability classification, supported by independent testing. Reduced swelling and shrinkage also help it provide a stable base for exterior joinery.

Designed around the opening
Profiles, joints, drainage, glazing and ironmongery are developed as a complete specification. Accoya does not limit the joinery to one style.
