This policy applies to purchases made by consumers from JM Joinery Hereford Ltd.
Delivery
We deliver within 30 days of your order, unless a different delivery date has been expressly agreed with you.
Reporting a problem
If your order arrives damaged, is faulty or does not match the agreed specification, please contact info@jmjoinery.co.uk promptly with your order number and a description of the problem. Where possible, include clear photographs of the item, the affected area and any damaged packaging. Photographs help us assess the issue, but are not a condition of your statutory rights.
Faulty or incorrect goods
You normally have the right to reject faulty, misdescribed or unfit-for-purpose goods for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. You may instead request a repair or replacement. If a fault becomes apparent later, please still contact us: your legal rights can continue beyond 30 days.
Returning an affected item
Please contact us before sending anything back so we can confirm the return address and suitable arrangements. We may need to inspect the item. Where you are entitled to a remedy for faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, we will arrange a suitable return or reimburse reasonable return costs. For large items, we will agree appropriate collection arrangements with you. Contacting us to arrange a return does not affect your right to notify us of cancellation or rejection within the applicable legal time limit.
Damage during delivery
If an item is damaged during delivery arranged by us, contact us directly. We will handle the issue with you and deal with the delivery company ourselves. Please retain the packaging where practical to help us investigate.
Personalised and bespoke products
We do not accept change-of-mind cancellations or returns for goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, including items engraved with your chosen wording. This does not affect your rights if the goods are faulty, damaged or do not match the agreed specification. Standard products do not automatically lose their cancellation rights simply because they are manufactured after an order is placed.
Other online purchases
Where statutory cancellation rights apply, you may cancel from placing your order until 14 days after delivery, then return the goods within a further 14 days. You are responsible for the direct return cost where we informed you of this before purchase. We do not offer additional change-of-mind returns outside these rights. You may cancel by any clear statement, including email, telephone or post; using a particular form or obtaining prior authorisation is not required.
Refunds
For eligible change-of-mind cancellations, we refund the item price and applicable standard outward delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the goods back or evidence of return, whichever is earlier. We may deduct for reduced value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods, where the law allows. Fault-related refunds are made without undue delay and within 14 days of agreeing your entitlement, including delivery charges where required by law. Refunds use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
